Emmy® award-nominated host, adventurer, and travel expert Darley Newman is known for getting viewers out of their comfort zone on active experiences globally. She is the host, creator, and producer of the PBS television shows Travels with Darley and Equitrekking, which have been featured on international networks in more than 85 nations. She takes viewers to remote and stunning locations to reveal fascinating global cultures, adventure, cuisine, and hidden gems. Having led production teams in more than 25 nations and 26 states, Darley has produced filmmaking adventures that include traversing one of the world’s largest salt pans in Africa, free diving in South Korea, and exploring the “Red Zone” of World War I by mountain bike throughout northeastern France. Her ability to make on-camera guests feel at ease has allowed her to interview people of varying cultures and walks of life, including HRH Princess Alia in Jordan, Olympian Jonny Moseley, and inspiring entrepreneurs in the United States.

At Rosa Parks former Montgomery home, Darley speaks with Doris Crenshaw, a lifelong activist who at the age of 12 was a protégée of Rosa Parks. Michelle Browder leads Darley through Montgomery to sites of significance, including the Southern Poverty Law Center. Finally, Darley heads to Montgomery’s Westside to meet Kevin King of The King’s Canvas, which creates public art to make change.
