Valuable Information about LIttle Known Parks
My husband and I really enjoyed this series and just got back from one of the areas recommended by Mr. Yogerst. We probably would not have known about this area otherwise and are so grateful to have learned about it! We are already planning trips to some of the other parks recommended in the series. Thank you for this informative and inspiring series.

Very useful information about many state parks.
I streamed the video and enjoyed the photos and maps of many of the parks discussed. The recommendations of what to bring along and how to dress, and the best times to visit are informative. There are many more great state parks, but I think this was a great selection of parks around the USA. Since I may never get to Alaska it was interesting to learn about some of the parks in its borders.

This is a great course, with so much great info on such a huge variety of parks. The info is practical as well as historical and the photos and videos are beautiful and sometimes stunning frankly. A treasured family video now.

My wife and I wanted to know more about some of the parks we want to visit. The info is informative but the lecture is dry and talks to fast. It made us feel they were reading from ascript and really didn't know the locations, except for the southwest parks.

Joe Yogerst is a journalist and travel writer. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Geography at the University of California, Los Angeles, and a master’s degree in Journalism at the University of Oregon. An avid world traveler since his teenage years, Mr. Yogerst has set foot on all seven continents and visited more than 160 countries, colonies, and territories. He has worked as a writer and editor on four continents, including stints in South Africa, London, Hong Kong, Singapore, and his native California.
Mr. Yogerst’s portfolio includes investigative journalism for The Washington Post, celebrity profiles for Prestige magazine, and 35 book projects for National Geographic. He is the author of National Geographic’s 50 States, 5,000 Ideas: Where to Go, When to Go, What to See, What to Do, a national travel bestseller.
