Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice refresher It is enjoyable to open up your finances and follow along with this course. It was exciting to tweak a few accounts and sometimes sad to remember the mistakes I have made in the past. The quibbles I have with Bach's approach have to do with my own personal preferences. I can work around those and still gain tremendous value. I am completely convinced that my Wondrium subscription has made a huge improvement to my financial future.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great points overall and easy to follow I am an accountant and have read enough personal finance books to know most of this stuff but even then there were a few things that came new to me. It is not a usual The Great Course university course. It is a recording of a 1-day seminar on personal finance but the author was able to pack a lot of material into it and answer a few good questions from the audience. I finished up double checking and fixing a few things in my portfolio and getting tips on how to organize my finances into a better system. I am also recommending this course to my kids and hope they will stop wasting money and start investing smarter.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Finish Late, Start Rich Is this a Great Course? Does it even question its own premises? What are those premises? That Capitalism is the system that will make us all rich? Do you really believe that the anxious members of Mr. Bach's audience will be taking their kids to Aspen, Colorado for ski lessons by giving up their latte's (yeah, it's only a metaphor, schmetophor). But how can it be only a metaphor if dad tells his two sons to get a free cup and walk to the tap water to fill up? That's his example of saying "no" to his kids. Howabout saying "no" when his sons whip out their iPhones during granny's fond recollections? So, I don't think this can remotely qualify as a Great Course. It's yet another example of how Wondrium is dumbing down content, Great Courses, Great Schmourses!
