Generals at War

In 1941, the British underestimated the fighting ability of the Japanese until Japan launched a surprise attack on Singapore. British General Arthur Percival was tasked with defending the wealthy colonies of Malaya and Singapore. General Tomoyuki Yamashita lead the “driving charge” to oust him. The Japanese were outnumbered, but with help, they might just put the British to rout.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Interesting approach I found the approach to the battles reviewed very interesting. I like the use of experts to deminstrate various points and to explain what the primary military leaders would have been thinking during the battles. I would have liked to have seen more of the earlier battles of WW II to give a little more balance to the overall course.
