I only had a general knowledge that he was an important man in history and a vague idea of his teachings. Watching this gave me a great deal of information about him, his life and his teaching. As an introduction and overview of Confucius I would recommend this as a gateway to possible future in depth study.

I would have liked to see concrete examples of his teachings on good government as practical applications - that is left to the imagination. That is the only reason I picked four stars rather than five.
