Rated 2 out of 5 by from Maybe ok if you are a 6 year old The focus of this video, like so many 'educational' programs these days, is entertainment. These types of programs are generally light on information but expend a lot of energy trying to keep their audiences entertained. The music is both annoying and repetitive - and is non-stop. It is often loud enough to make it hard to hear the speaker. The video does not explain what a red dwarf is but refers to them frequently. This is odd given the apparent age group this is targeting. A young person might find this interesting, but a mature older audience may find it as frustrating as we did.

Overview

Scientists, wielding sensitive new telescopes and "big data" tools, have detected planets around thousands of stars; some Sun-like and some very different from our star. Many newly discovered "exoplanets" lie in "habitable zones," where liquid water may support the chemistry that enables biology. How will astronomers discover if we have company in the cosmos...and where they live?
