01: Montana: Butte to Deer Lodge

Kicking off from the old mining town of Butte, head west to Beaverhead Deerlodge National Forest. Next is the Bitterroot and Sapphire Mountains, Rock Creek, and the mining city of Granite.

02: Nevada: The Painted Desert to Las Vegas

We begin on the eastern edge of the Painted Desert in Arizona before traveling to one of the most well preserved meteor craters on earth. We then head north to one of the largest manmade lakes in the US, Lake Powell, before traveling to the Marble Canyon and Grand Canyon. Finally we go southwest to Las Vegas, the city of lights built in the middle of nowhere.

03: Nebraska: Oglala National Grassland to Scotts Bluff

This journey begins following the extensive Nebraskan railway system out into the Oglala Grasslands. From there we’ll fly south to Fort Robinson State Park, once the site of ferocious battles between American Indians and early European settlers. We’ll pass old-west style stagecoaches and galloping herds of buffalo as we head to the town of Alliance, a historic center of the Wild West.

04: South Dakota: Spearfish to Mount Rushmore

This journey begins in the open grassland around Spearfish on the west side of the state before heading south into the Black Hills National Forest. To the south is Rapid City, the second largest conurbation in South Dakota, and a center for tourism, because nearby is one of the most popular attractions in the whole of the United States, Mount Rushmore.

05: Wyoming: Yellowstone National Park

Explore Yellowstone National Park and its lake, river, and canyon before delving into its geothermal features in the Mud Volcano area. See the animal biodiversity in the park's valleys, and end the journey at one of the US's most loved attractions, Old Faithful.
