Rated 3 out of 5 by from Adobe Lightroom Classic Ben Willmore is A very good instructor, but the Adobe Lightroom Classic he was using was out dated. I ordered a DVD and it was unreadable yhr video was blurry and not sharp. I sent it back for a refund.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Things Have Changed a Bit with LR Since 2018 Ben Willmore is an excellent instructor and provides a pretty good dive into using LR. MOST of what he teaches here is pretty relevant since 2018, when Creative Live first did this class. However, some things have changed between 2018 and 2021. This course also is based solely on Mac iOS, which isn't a deal breaker, but if you're on Windows, you have to kind of double-check to make sure keystrokes, locations, etc. are correct. However, Willmore's expertise is strong enough that I'll probably buy his updated 2021 version on Creative Live. This course does provide a basic foundation and lots of good suggestions and information; it's just a little dated.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding Outstanding Presentation. Anticipated most all my difficulties with Lightroom. Needs updating to current version 2021 from 2018. This could be done in the workbooks

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Thorough, easy to follow, well communicated Wow. Lightroom is complex and intimidating. Ben has created a fantastic workshop that breaks it down into workable pieces. The lectures are well organized, in depth and logical in format. Not for the faint of heart, it requires commitment to take this class but well worth the effort. Ben educates not only on the fun/aesthetic features of the program but equally on the structure and mindset of Lightroom which ultimately makes it an incredible tool. The instructor takes the time to explain the program's infrastructure which is frankly paramount and critical to actually understanding and enjoying the artistic features. Ben is an excellent communicator and clearly an expert in the subject. Bravo!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent course and instructor I definitely recommend this course for anyone new to Lightroom Classic or who is trying to improve. The instructor is excellent and the format of the course makes it easy to absorb. I don’t think I could have learned as much from a book or other method. Being able to re-watch a class is a real plus. I have used Adobe Elements for about 10 years and I feel good about being able to do most editing but Lightroom offers so much more. One detail that I don’t think Adobe does a good job of explaining is Lightroom Classic and Lightroom CC (Creative Cloud) are two different software packages. They are compatible but different. Classic has all the workflow and editing features and CC is a more basic version but is integrated with cloud storage. This class is for Lightroom Classic. Don’t sign up for Lightroom CC like I did or you will quickly realize that most the topics being covered in the course don’t exist in CC. After watching a couple classes, I realized my mistake and changed my Adobe plan (easy) to use Classic. I can still use CC but now I have the rich feature set that you will want if you complete this course.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I highly recommend this course! Ben provides an in-depth understanding of nearly all of the functions and features of Lightroom Classic as well as some basic ways of utilizing Lightroom CC and Photoshop. I have tried using the Adobe Lightroom documentation and several YouTube videos about Lightroom. While I learned a few things, I often found it difficult and spotty. Ben's teaching style is easy to understand and ties all of the features together. Videos make it easy to pause the course - go to Lightroom to try it out - and come back to the video to replay the lesson again if needed. Ben's "bonus material" with the course includes a .pdf text description of each lesson (a quick way to refresh your memory about a lesson without having to replay the video), as well as sample images and catalogs for lesson practice. This course has given me a great foundation for working on creatively enhancing my photographs and inspiring me to do more. Thanks Ben!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent for New and Experienced Users I have been using Lightroom for years. My formal background is in Imaging Science but general photography is a passionate side interest of mine. I'm a self learner using books to familiarize myself with Lightroom. What I needed was a professional user to guide me through Lightroom to illustrate the real benefits and strengths of the product, to show recommended work flows. I have used Lightroom for photo editing but never used the catalog, collection and keyword features. Bill demonstrated the power of these features once one accumulates hundreds to thousands of images in their portfolio. I highly recommend this course for new, and experienced users. Whether you are a casual imager or seasoned photographer, this course is for you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So easy to understand this presentation! I love this course. Will look for this instructor in other couses. If you are a developing photographer and need a good lightroom foundation .... this is it! If you are a hobbyist and just need basics you can choose your modules and save the rest for later. Great course!
